Audrey Schurter is a New Media student located in Tompkins Cortland Community College (TC3) in New York. She works with traditional art, digital art, animation and design. A few themes she utilizes are science fiction and fantasy. She is currently in her final year at TC3 and hopes to be able to enter the job market once she is graduated. Her ideal jobs include Animation, Scientific Design, Creature Design, and Storyboarding.

I work with hand-drawn traditional art and digital art to create and bring to life ideas and pieces of myself. I'm learning more about Animation, which includes Rotoscoping, flipbooks, stop-motion and eventually learning to use a blender to make sculptures and animations.  My inspirations include movies such as Transformers, How to Train Your Dragon, Star Wars, and Lord of the Rings. I've always loved the designs used in these movies, such as the way the Transformers were designed, or the many dragon species in How to Train Your Dragon. Another inspiration from movies is from the animation standpoint, I've always loved how things moved and reacted to objects. With dragons, I love how their wings fold and move to gain air while they fly, or how the Balrog moves and reacts to Gandalf's attacks in Lord of the Rings. Some other inspiration mediums are books, comics, video games, and traditional art. I know that one day I'll be able to put my ideas on a physical template, and I know that I will make great stuff in the future. I hope to inspire others to be creative and use their minds to change the world with me.
